Collier-Seminole
State Park Collier-Seminole spans 6,430 acres, including a 4,760-acre
wilderness preserve. A truly unique aspect of the park is a fascinating
tropical hammock whose character seems to transport visitors into
the coastal forests of the West Indies or The Yucatan. Cypress
swamps, saltwater marshes and thick pine flatwoods add to the
park's lush beauty.
The park is home to a wonderful medley of wildlife, including
several of Florida's threatened and endangered species. The brown
pelican, wood stork, bald eagle, roseate spoonbill, American crocodile
and Florida Black Bear are among the animals that make the park
their home. Phone: 239-394-3397
